"So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering." (Romans 12:1, MSG)

Foto Friday - Shabbat shalom

This morning I spent some time in and around Trinity Chapel before officiating a small wedding ceremony. I was there mostly for prayer and to breathe in the peace and quiet but I did also shoot a few photographs. These spring flowers, adorned by morning dew, inspired reflection on Sabbath rest.

Shabbat shalom.

Foto Friday - Courage To Lead

I spent a few days this week at the Bethany Center, a Retreat and Conference ministry of the Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg, for some rest and spiritual formation with my friends in the Courage to Lead Cohort of 2015. My time there was all I had hoped it would be and more.

I am particularly grateful for the opportunity to spend some time walking the beautiful grounds and reconnecting with my Sabbath hobby of photography. In fact, I was so excited about it that I actually got out of bed before sunrise and walked around to the side of the lake opposite from my lodge so I could shoot the sunrise. Later that day I was lucky enough to get a few minutes away to shoot the sunset. It is a magnificent place and I am looking forward to my return in July.
